February 2009 minutes were read by Darla. We did not have a meeting in March due to a blizzard.

Old Business:
The International Convention is coming up July 6-12 in 
Shirts- we will order shirts again at some point. We need to order in groups of 12. In this last order, we ordered 3 extra to have on hand for new members.
Bowling Tournament: The tournament was a HUGE success.
Total profit was

Darla will use our gift certificate for the Lions online store in order to buy a banner for our club.

Darla called for a unanimous ballot, seconded by Sherrie. Motion passed. Officer training will be held April 18 at Shooting Star Casino, Mahnomen.
New Location:  Discussed changing location and day of month we meet.  It was decided that we would change to Bennigan’s in 
Vanessa motioned to accept this change, Sue seconded. Motion passes.
It was decided that we will not do the fishing opener this year. Brenda is going to look into seeing if we can team up with Bob 95 for the governor’s opener. Possibly donating our Lion jigs.

Police Unity Tour: Brenda spoke to us about the Police Unity Tour. Erin Reski, a friend of Brenda’s family, is riding in it. She is a police officer in Roseville MN and is riding bicycle in this tour May 13, 2009. The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. It’s a 250 mile journey 250 miles from Chesapeake, VA to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC. It was decided we would donate 50$ to Erin.
Brent spoke to us about a Concordia student from Ghana who may need our assistance in getting glasses. He needs a specific type of eyewear. Dawn is going to check with a professor from MSUM to see if he can help. It was decided we should spend up to 400$ and hopefully if we present it to other clubs they will also donate.
Steve brought a sucker stand he made in which to distribute around the community. It was decided that 15 sucker stands should be made. Allot 50$ for this purpose.

Darla will look into buying a banner from the Lions’ store for our face painting booths
